I want to extend a sincere congratulations to everyone involved in putting together the Southern California Linux Expo. In it’s 8th year SCALE shined. With rumors of significant growth in registrations, SCALE is a strong testament to the growth of Linux, Open Source Software, and the valuable community that surrounds both. While there may have been internet issues at times, as conference attendee’s and exhibitors we must admit… this is a very difficult piece of a conference to manage, and i have yet to see it done perfectly. The SCALE team worked hard to address issues and continued working to make improvements for the duration of the show.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work directly with the SCALE staff who gave their full attention and consideration to us at DisklessWorkstations.com, and for that we thank them.
The ability to have a presence at a conference where you have an opportunity to meet leaders of well known Open Source projects and individuals who are asking “What is Linux?” in the same day is an excellent experience.
If your not a SoCal resident, find a Linux conference near you where you can connect with like minded people, or begin your exploration of Linux and Open Source Software.
You can look for myself and DisklessWorkstations.com at other Linux con’s in the future.
Until Next Time SCALE,
Alex
